The London Construction Awards are returning for a second year to recognise achievements by those that have played a defining role in delivering exceptional quality, innovation and service, and in driving the London construction industry forwards. The event follows a hugely successful inaugural ceremony at the O2 last June, which welcomed a number of high-level attendees from across the industry to celebrate the successes of a wide range of companies from across the capital.
Propelair has been shortlisted in the ‘Innovation of the Year (Manufacturing)’ category. It is now recognised within the industry as a product with significant potential for water and energy saving, demonstrating excellent value for money and return on investment. Its revolutionary 1.5 litre air-assisted flush is much more efficient than conventional low-flush models, and it reduces the amount of water needed for toilet flushing by 84% on average; this means that organisations benefit instantly from lower water bills and payback can be achieved in as little as 1-3 years. Propelair’s unique technology also makes it the most hygienic system available; it removes over 99.9% of waterborne contaminants and reduces the spread of aerosolised germs by 95%, contributing to improved productivity and wellbeing in the workplace as well as reduced sick leave.
Innovation of choice in the capital
Propelair has now been installed in a number of locations in and around the London area, including RBS Premier Place, Thames Water offices, West End theatres (including the Lyceum and the Peacock), several McDonalds franchises and a number of local authority buildings including Lynton House in the London Borough of Redbridge. In many instances where a building has been converted entirely to Propelair water consumption has been halved and bills reduced accordingly.
The awards will be presented at a prestigious gala dinner on October 26th at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, and will include a comedy set by the legendary comedian Jimmy Carr. For more information about the awards please visit the London Build 2016 website.
